Dragonfly Sorter is a „file sorter“ or „folder organizer“ which allows you to apply many predefined criteria to your files.
It will sort your files into a folder structure based on these criteria.

Dragonfly File Sorter is very easy to use.
On the main window you will see your „sorter“ (list of folders) – which will contain all of your pre-defined sorting criteria.
If you need to „edit“ a folder, just double-click on the folder name (to select it) and click „Edit“.
If you need to add a new „criterion“ (a rule to apply to your files) just double-click on the „New Criterion“ button and click „Add Criterion“.
Double-click on the „Add Criterion“ button again to delete a criterion.

In order to simplify working with the „sorter“, in the main menu you will see 3 items:

„Rename File“ – which is used to rename a file
„Copy File“ – which is used to copy a file
„Move File“ – which is used to move a file

In addition, you will see a „Sort“ menu, which lets you „sort“ one or more folders using the criteria that you have created.
You will see a „Sort“ button, which is used to manually sort the files in a folder using the criteria that you have created.
Note that if you create multiple criteria, these criteria must be selected from the Sort menu in order to be used.
If you want to sort files according to multiple criteria, you can create as many criteria as you need.

To keep your „sorter“ up-to-date, simply click „Refresh“ on the main window.
A „Reload“ button will be displayed, which will „reload“ your „sorter“ from the disk.

Creating your first sorter

By default, Dragonfly File Sorter will create 4 „folders“ for you – in which you can create your own criteria (rules).
Each of these „folders“ will contain one or more „criteria“ (rules).
If you need to create more criteria, use the „New Criterion“ button.

NOTE: In order to create a new criteria, you must first „add“ a criterion.
