Installation
There are three installation paths:

Open your command-line or your administration

The application is a graphical frontend for a commandline application kix2exe.
Existing functionality from the commandline is still available.

If the GUI is started with the script parameter as target, then the GUI is opened and focused on the specified script. You can then either change the runtime parameters of your script or specify/read parameters on the GUI for your script. In the following you will see how you can configure the script and configure runtime parameters on the GUI.

The following key GUI features are available:

The most important thing about the Kix2Exe-GUI is, that you can configure and list the preprocessors used for building the package. You can do so by clicking on the button in the listview on the left. The application displays all listed preprocessors in the ‚Container‘ view below. The fields are: name, category and description.
— List of Build-Option Sets
The application shows all build options sets which are available for the package and for each option set the available package options. You can find the list view under the button on the left.
— Check for Installed Script
The checkbox can be used to find out whether a script was already installed and is shown in the ‚Container‘ view.
— Check for Required Scripts
The ‚Container‘ view shows all required scripts for the package. The script input fields are only hidden if the following checkbox is checked.
— Package Script
You can give the script(s) to package by clicking on the package button. The other view below is a container to enter text for the package parameters. The text input field can be hidden by the checkbox.
— Package Output
Here you can see the full output of the selected package. The application keeps the values written in ‚Container‘ view and adds, if available, the resulting directory and file name to the output.
— Library Search
The application shows the standard libraries found in the package. The ‚Container‘ view displays a tree view below the list view. The tree view can be hidden by the checkbox. The ‚Container‘ view shows the directory structure of the standard library directories.
— Package All
You can start the package all from the ‚Container‘ view. The file input field helps you to enter the package file to package. At the same time the list box on the left shows the

* On the fourth tab ‚Settings‘ you can set a new target platform.
* By clicking on ‚Settings‘ you can activate the tab ‚Package Settings‘.
