I’ve never been a huge fan of what I like to call retro themed graphics. I prefer something that is a bit more elegant and modern. Most of the time when people go retro they tend to make a design that is “pink”, “purple”, or “blue”. Most people seem to want to keep all their desktop icons the same. What they don’t realize is that your desktop icons, while being great in their original purpose of showing you your documents, videos, and music, really go out of style after a few years. When you start making them in bright neon colors you have just started to suffer from a design style that really only works if you want to start using your computer in a neon colored room.
I have noticed people tend to not change their desktop icons too much. All they tend to do is change them from the original blue to something that is bright and colorful. I don’t even know if that is an improvement or not. It certainly doesn’t make me feel like I have gotten more organized or that I have a better designed desktop. You might think that I am a bit picky. That is exactly why I have decided to create an abstract retro theme. I think that the abstract designs are much more stylish. They are also more fitting for what a desktop should be about. For those of you that have a more modern computer, why not try this design out. If you like the theme I am sure that you will be happy that you are getting something a bit more modern.
This theme has a blue and white color scheme. The colors are bright, yet elegant. Most of the icons are abstract shapes, with only a few icons that are realistic (and only in the dark). Each desktop has a different pattern, although I have also included a few screenshots with all of the icons showing on a single desktop (so that you can get an idea of what is going on).
I would love to hear what you think of the design so far. I am sure that there are some people out there that can’t get past the neon colors. I don’t know what that says about me. I know I am a bit pick

Press the „Apply“ button.
Right click on the new folder again and select „Customize“.
